At Head Academy Kung Fu  we specialise in teaching adults Martial Art classes. We train Kung Fu simply because it’s fun and while we’re having fun we’re getting fitter, faster, more flexible, more focused, more disciplined and healthier all in a friendly ego free environment where everyone is welcome.

Head Academy Kung Fu upholds the traditional values of the Chinese Martial arts, we teach the art of Jow Gar Kung Fu which can trace its origins back to the Shaolin temple; handed down from teacher student through five generations.

We train kung fu as a discipline that brings total body health which cannot be found in any other form of exercise, or martial art class.

More importantly Jow Gar kung fu is a skill and these skills are what sets it apart from any other form of training even other martial arts.

It is the original form of functional exercise. Getting fitter and more healthy is a by-product of the training at Head Academy Kung Fu the skills that you learn with us will flow on into all areas of your life you will be less stressed, calmer, more confident and you have a more positive outlook even after just one class.

The structure of our Adults Martial Art classes.

All of our Adults Kung Fu classes are the result of over a decade of refinement. As we develop as martial artists and instructors, we develop new an improved methods of structuring our classes. As part of our ongoing dedication to improving our knowledge of health and fitness, I as the head instructor of our kung fu schools am always educating and reeducating myself and our instructors on the latest techniques and philosophies on effective and healthy training.
Our classes contain the time tested methods of training Kung Fu, something that has been proven over hundreds of years. Traditional Kung Fu training works the health of an entire individual. From the energy systems of the body to the physical, mental and spiritual systems. With continued practice an individual will experience health and fitness that is not found through any one training method.

On top of this time tested method we add a variety of other important practices, from sets of full body joint rotations to effective whole body stretching flows and self myofascial release techniques. In order to experience the benefits of just one Kung Fu class at our academies you would need to attend 3-4 different classes elsewhere to receive the same content and benefits. This purposeful and planned structure to our kung fu classes means that our students are benefiting from unparalleled tuition in the martial art of Jow Gar Kung Fu for self defence and health. It also means that our classes are achievable and challenging for all ages and skill levels.
